Who am I?
My name is Diana Scheen-Bosman, a photographer, and I have been living in Orihuela (Los Altos), Spain, since December 2023.
What I enjoy most about photography is capturing people. Therefore, I have specialized in portrait, family, and children's photography. There's nothing quite like bringing out the best in people. And I'm certain: with the right guidance, anyone can shine in a photo.
To get the most out of my camera, I have taken various courses and workshops, which have helped me become familiar with it. I've been photographing for a while now, always following my intuition. But understanding the camera is also crucial. It's not just about pressing a button; it's about knowing what you're doing. By attending the 'portrait photography & psychology' workshop, it's easier for me to connect with you and bring out your best. Together, we create beautiful photos. Additionally, I've attended a studio photography workshop, enabling me to capture great shots even in low light situations. The Fine Art Portrait workshop with Manon Moller and the Fine Art Portrait Masterclass with Anja van Ast have given me more insight into fine art portraits.
In Spain, I no longer have my own studio, clothing, or props. Therefore, I mainly do outdoor shoots (urbex, beach, nature, city, etc.). I photograph between Alicante and Cartagena. If the distance is farther, I only ask for travel expenses. I'll post announcements on Facebook and Instagram, but you can also contact me directly to discuss what type of shoot you'd like to do. This includes location, clothing, props, etc.
If you've had a shoot, please write a review. A review is a great way for me as a photographer to showcase my work. Reviews
I hope to meet you soon.
With love, Diana
Photoshoot
How does it work?
First, we discuss how the shoot should look, you'll receive tips on appearance (makeup, hair, clothing), and where we will shoot (urban exploration, beach, nature, city, etc.).
Then it's time to do the shoot. There might be improvisation required (for example, if there's a crowd at the location). That's why we take all the time needed and don't watch the clock.
Since not all photos are suitable for fine art, I personally select the most suitable photo and edit it into a fine art piece. Additionally, you'll receive 'regular' photos. All photos are edited using Lightroom and Photoshop and sent via WeTransfer.
A portrait shoot, for example, is suitable for models looking to expand their portfolio, or if you're looking for photos as a surprise for your family or partner.
For fine art-like photos, children should be able to listen to instructions and sit still. Therefore, the ideal age for this type of photos is between 4 and 10 years old.

- Clothing Tips
- Do's
- Prefer wearing plain clothing.
- Turtlenecks, ruffles, hats, scarves, traditional clothing, and blazers are always good choices.
- If coming with others, coordinate clothing (color, style, season).
- Stick to natural tones; this sets the right mood in the photo.
- For women: take the opportunity to pamper yourself. For example, a few days before the shoot, get a manicure/pedicure. Chipped nail polish or broken nails can be distracting. Preferably choose a color that matches the style of the shoot and your clothing. Ensure your hair is well-groomed.
- Bring multiple garments so we can choose.
- If showing skin: hydrate your skin the night before with body lotion.
- Don'ts
- Avoid busy prints and large designs (e.g., logos, texts); they make your photos less timeless.
- Avoid small patterns as they cause strange distortion.
- Avoid wearing black clothing; it darkens the atmosphere (although it's fine for Urban Exploration photography).
- Bare arms/legs: don't wear tight clothing beforehand. The marks from it can remain visible for at least half an hour.
- Avoid wearing watches or large jewelry; keep it subtle, less is more!
- Replace glasses with transition lenses; otherwise, it looks like you're wearing sunglasses.
- If you have a blemish: don't apply foundation to the area. The blemish and imperfections will be removed in post-production.
- Don't use too much makeup or foundation with glitter or oily creams; it will give your face a strange shine.
- Handy to Bring
- Extra set of clothing.
- Quick oily skin fix: bring some powder to mattify your face.
- Wet wipes for kids who snack between sessions. Every crumb is visible!
- For glasses wearers: bring glasses wipes. The smudges can make the vision blurry.
- Hair ties/scrunchies or other hair accessories.
